Tuna Altınel turns 60 in 2026. He supervised half a dozen PhDs, co-organised the 'Models and Groups' conference cycle, co-authored with Sasha Borovik and Gregory Cherlin the monograph 'Groups of finite Morley rank' on their positive solution to the algebraicity conjecture in even type.
To celebrate a career devoted to group theory, model theory, and their fruitful interactions, a small workshop is organised in Lyon on June 25-26, 2026 with scientific talks.
